About the lectures ( for details about the lectures, click on the lecture name )

Niv Arbiv-Dogo is a certified music therapist, Jungian psychotherapist and psychedelic therapist, one of the pioneers in Israel in combining legal ketamine-based treatment in a private clinic. His approach combines analytical psychotherapy with spiritual approaches from Kabbalah, Hasidism and shamanism, from a perspective of healing as a multi-layered process – personal, collective and mystical .

The lecture will address the connection between music therapy and psychedelic psychotherapy, based on the principles of Jungian psychology, with an emphasis on the relationship between the ego and the self in the healing process. Integrative methods for working with trauma will be presented, emphasizing strengthening resilience through connecting to inner healing forces. Inner listening will be emphasized as a common and essential component of both approaches and as a key to mental change and the creation of meaning.

Prof. Moshe Ben-Simon is a faculty member in the Department of Criminology at Bar-Ilan University. His professional background combines the fields of criminology and music therapy, and he focuses on interdisciplinary research that combines these approaches.

The lecture will present findings from a qualitative study conducted among 41 music therapists who worked with trauma victims in Israel. The findings highlight the unique contribution of music to meeting patients' relational needs - including the need for recognition, acceptance, emotional testimony, emotional response from the therapist, security, trust, and reaching out from the therapist.

The authorities of the judiciary in Israel are divided between the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court serves as an appellate instance for judgments of the District Courts in Israel, and as a High Court of Justice. When sitting as a High Court of Justice, it hears appeals against the decisions of the District Courts, the Magistrates Courts and the Religious Courts. There are three types of appeals: the High Court of Justice, District Courts and Magistrate Courts.

The powers of the judiciary are influenced by the changes in the powers of the investigative authorities and the prosecuting authorities, in order to allow scrutiny and expansion on the history of the judiciary and its influence in the State of Israel.
