"The 'Eitan: Everyone Can' organization is Israel's leading organization dedicated to promoting and empowering people with special needs through professional fitness training. The organization's goal is to use sports as a tool for developing life skills and independence through sports."


"The Eitan Method" combines professional fitness training to foster independence and self-confidence among people with special needs throughout the country. What makes the organization unique is that it is the only one in Israel that systematically uses sports as a therapeutic and empowering tool.

 

"Akim Israel is the national organization for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The organization strives to operate as a person-centered organization and promotes the right of people with intellectual disabilities to be part of the community, to represent themselves, and to make their voices heard, in the spirit of 'Nothing about us without us.'"

The organization works to improve the quality of life and well-being of approximately 35,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Israel, with the support and guidance of approximately 1,100 professionals who operate about 140 community-based housing facilities, as well as programs in employment, the military, volunteer work, and leisure, and even dental clinics run by the Ministry of Social Affairs. At AKIM, we believe that all human beings are created in the image of God and that we are all equal, even though we are different. Our slogan is: “AKIM. Be V!”

Chimes Israel operates 27 facilities nationwide in the fields of education, training, rehabilitation, and employment for people with a range of disabilities, from six months of age through old age.
The organization’s facilities include rehabilitative daycare centers for toddlers, after-school clubs at special education schools, integrated employment service centers, therapeutic centers, and more.
