Dear Student, please find below the procedures and rules regarding tuition payment.

Ignorance of the rules does not exempt a student from fulfilling his or her obligations.

The Academic College reserves the right to make changes to any of the rules and regulations set forth here, without prior notice.

-Admitted applicants who have completed the registration process will receive an acceptance letter accompanied by a tuition payment form. Tuition must be paid by the date specified in the acceptance letter. Students or applicants who do not pay the full tuition by this date will lose their spot, and the Academic College cannot guarantee their place for this academic year.

The first payment is due two weeks after the admission date, and the balance of the tuition will be paid by bank transfer, credit card, or automatic payment, depending on the payment option selected by the student.

-Payment of the annual tuition in advance for each academic year is a prerequisite for creating a course of study and for admission as a full-time student.

-Tuition payment notices are sent to students by regular mail to the address listed in the Academic Campus’s computer system. Failure to receive a payment notice for any reason does not exempt the student from paying tuition on time.

-Tuition fees for all study tracks are the same, non-indexed, and interest-free.

Annual tuition is adjusted each year and will not exceed the rate of increase in the Consumer Price Index or 3%, whichever is higher. It should be noted that an increase exceeding the rate of increase in the Consumer Price Index may occur only once during a student’s course of study for a single degree.  

-Tuition for the 5785 academic year includes a 275 NIS Student Union membership fee for undergraduate students and 310 NIS for graduate students. Once the academic year has begun, no refunds will be issued for the Student Union membership fee.(At the Haredi campus, the Student Union membership fee is 170 NIS.)

The Academic College will provide the Student Association with the contact information of students who are members of the association and the ways to contact them.

-Students who wish to pay by credit card must verify with their bank that they have sufficient credit available to cover the total amount of the transaction.

-A discount for advance payment will be granted only if the student pays tuition exceeding 25,000 NIS per year. (In accordance with the cash discount percentage on predetermined dates.)

-Students who wish to pay via direct debit must have the form signed by their bank before returning it to the Tuition Department. This direct debit form will be used to charge tuition fees throughout the duration of the degree program and will be automatically renewed from year to year until all payments for the degree are completed, in accordance with the tuition regulations, which are indexed annually to the Consumer Price Index. 

If a student or account holder wishes to change their payment method from one year to the next, they must notify the Tuition Department no later than the end of July of each year.

-In any case, you should check with your bank or credit card company to ensure that the payments were made and transferred to the Academic College as required.

-The obligation to pay tuition and to pay it in full rests solely with the student.

-A student whose tuition payment was not honored by the bank will be charged a return fee of 50 NIS for each unpaid installment.

-A student who is behind on payments will be barred from receiving any academic services, including access to grade information and services provided by the Student Affairs Office.

-If a student falls behind on tuition payments for a year or more, the Academic College may terminate his or her enrollment immediately.

-Tuition for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Advertising and Marketing Communications, or Education will, in any case, be paid over three consecutive years, regardless of academic progress during those years.

-Tuition for a bachelor’s degree in health professions must be paid, in all cases, over three and a half consecutive years, regardless of academic progress during those years. Part-time study will be permitted only if the student pays full tuition for each year, followed by a payment of 5,000 NIS per year for each year the degree is extended.

-Tuition for a bachelor's degree in law must be paid, in any case, over three and a half consecutive years, regardless of academic progress during those years.

-Law students will pay three and a half times the full annual tuition, even if their studies last only three years(such as morning programs).

-Tuition for a bachelor's degree in music will be paid, in any case, over four consecutive years, regardless of academic progress during those years.

-In any case where a student extends their degree program beyond the original duration, starting in the fifth year of their studies at the institution, the student will pay an annual tuition fee of 3,000 NIS, regardless of the number of courses they take that year.

-Tuition for the bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting does not include the cost of the supplementary year (fourth year).

-The additional fee for a bachelor's degree in business administration, for students who choose an additional specialization (other than accounting or information systems), will be 3,000 NIS.

-The additional fee for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for students who choose an additional specialization is 5,000 NIS. (The cost of the cybersecurity specialization is 7,500 NIS.)

-Exemption from courses based on recognition of prior learning does not constitute an exemption from tuition or any portion thereof, except in the following cases:

In the Bachelor of Laws program, students who already hold a previous academic degree will pay tuition at the 300% rate instead of the 350% rate.

In the Bachelor of Business Administration program, students with 18 credit points will pay tuition at 250% instead of 300%, and students with 36 credit points will pay tuition at 200% instead of 300%.

-Eligibility for a degree or approval to begin an internship from the Academic College is contingent upon the Bursar’s Office’s confirmation that tuition for the entire degree program has been paid in full (signing the “Field Trip Form”).

Cancellation Policy for the 5785 Academic Year

A student who wishes to withdraw from the program must notify the Registrar in writing. Tuition charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the date the withdrawal notice was received.

• Students who withdraw from their studies by June 15, 2024, will receive a full tuition refund.
• A student who withdraws from the program by September 15, 2024, will be charged 50% of the advance payment.
• A student who withdraws from the program by November 3, 2024, will be charged the first installment (advance payment).
• A student who withdraws from the program between November 3, 2024, and December 3, 2024, will be charged 30% of the full annual tuition.
• A student who withdraws from the program between December 3, 2024, and March 2, 2025, will be charged 50% of the full annual tuition.
• A student who notifies the university of their withdrawal after March 2, 2025, will not be eligible for a refund and will be charged the full annual tuition.

*The information in this section applies to the October 2024 cycle. The figures will change for the February 2025 cycle.

Cancellation Policy for the Winter Semester of 5785

A student who wishes to withdraw from the program must notify the Registrar in writing. Tuition charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the date the withdrawal notice was received.

A student who withdraws from the program by January 15, 2025, will be charged 50% of the advance payment.

• A student who withdraws from the program by March 2, 2025, will be charged the first installment (advance payment).
• A student who withdraws from the program between March 2, 2025, and April 2, 2025, will be charged 30% of the full annual tuition.
• A student who withdraws from the program between April 2, 25 and June 6, 25 will be charged 50% of the full annual tuition.
• A student who notifies the university of their withdrawal after June 6, 2025, will not be eligible for a refund and will be charged the full annual tuition.

Cancellation/Suspension of Pre-Academic Preparatory Program:

A student who wishes to withdraw from the preparatory program must notify the Director of Student Affairs in writing. Tuition charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis based on the monthly payments, according to the date the notice was received. That is, if notice of withdrawal is given during the first month of the preparatory program (starting from the official start date of the program), the first payment will be charged; if notice is given during the second month of the program, two payments will be charged, and so on.

-A student whose studies have been terminated by the Academic College, for any reason, will be required to pay tuition in accordance with these regulations.

-A student who has put their studies on hold and paid full or partial tuition will have that amount credited to their account for a period of

Up to six years.

-A student who takes a leave of absence during their degree program and returns within a period of up to six years will be subject to the tuition fees, class hours, and curriculum in effect at the Academic College on the date of their return.

-A student who does not pass the preparatory program and is therefore not admitted to the program, but who has paid tuition for the academic degree, will be refunded the tuition paid for the degree program only.

• The cost of a repeat course in the pre-academic preparatory program is 1,000 NIS

Scholarships

Kirya Foundation Scholarships— These scholarships are awarded to students based on socioeconomic criteria. Applications for the scholarship may be submitted only after tuition has been paid in full. Scholarship applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee at the beginning of the academic year.

If a student is eligible for a scholarship, it will be deducted from that year's tuition.

As a general rule, a scholarship applicant who receives any scholarship from the Academic College, as detailed below, will not be eligible to receive an additional scholarship from the College, except in exceptional and extraordinary cases.

Each application will be reviewed on its own merits and in light of the circumstances of the other scholarship applicants.

*The “Hishagim” Scholarship—a scholarshipfor young applicants from development towns, designed to encourage leadership from these areas. The scholarship is contingent upon receiving a letter of recommendation from the “Hishagim” center in the city or local council where the student resides. Each recommendation will be reviewed by the Academic College’s Scholarship Committee.

*Scholarship for Residents of Kiryat Ono/Or Yehuda—This scholarship is awarded tocity residents who have lived in the city for at least five years as of the date of registration. Applicants must present a population registry extract from the Ministry of the Interior verifying their place of residence and the required length of residence. Continued receipt of the scholarship in subsequent years is contingent upon presenting this verification annually and continuing to reside in the city.

Family Scholarship (First-Degree Relatives)—Married couples or first-degree relatives who are enrolled at the same time and pay full tuition for the same academic year are each eligible for a 10% discount.

*Security Forces Scholarship—Awarded to students who are serving in the security forces on a permanent basis—the regular army, police, Shin Bet, Mossad, or the Israel Prison Service. This scholarship is contingent upon the submission of proof of employment at the beginning of each academic year.

*The "Ofek" Officers' Scholarship will be awardedto students enrolled in the IDF's "Ofek" program, subject to the quota allocated by the Academic College.

*The "Impact" Scholarship will be awarded todischarged soldiers who served in combat units and, due to financial hardship, received

A scholarship for educational purposes from the "IMPACT" Fund of the Association for the Well-being of Israeli Soldiers.

Scholarship for Academic Excellence/Encouragement for a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and/or Business Administration—awardedbased on admission criteria at the time of registration.

To receive the scholarship in subsequent years, students must have achieved a grade point average of 85 or higher in the previous academic year.

Rector’s Scholarship for Outstanding Students in the Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Law and/or Business Administration—awardedbased on admission criteria at the time of registration (a combination of a high high school GPA and a high Psychometric Test score). Receipt of the scholarship in subsequent years is contingent upon maintaining a GPA of 90 or higher and a score of 85 or higher in each course during the previous academic year.

A student in this track who does not meet this GPA requirement but achieves a GPA between 85 and 90 will be eligible for an academic excellence scholarship.

*These scholarships are not available in the Faculty of Health Sciences or the Faculty of Music.

As a general rule, a student who has received a scholarship from the Karia and has discontinued their studies during the academic year will have the scholarship revoked.
