Coping with a permanent or temporary disability?

The Academic Support and Accessibility Center (MATNA) provides support services for students with disabilities and complex medical conditions. Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities and create optimal conditions for academic success. We invite you to contact us – we will be happy to help :)

 

Types of services and support provided:

  1. Academic Accessibility Accommodations:
    Accessibility accommodations in studies will be provided to students with disabilities individually, according to need, and in accordance with the legal requirements of the Council for Higher Education. To receive accommodations, a structured application form must be submitted, accompanied by updated documentation regarding the disability and the need for accommodations. If necessary, a meeting will be held with the relevant individual accessibility coordinator.
    Accessibility accommodations in studies refer to the physical, technological, and academic environment.

    Accommodations in examination methods:
    Accommodations in exams will be provided to students according to their medical or mental condition and in accordance with the legal requirements of the Council for Higher Education. To receive accommodations, you must submit a completed application form along with up-to-date documentation regarding your disability and the need for accommodations. If necessary, a meeting will be held with the relevant individual accessibility coordinator.

2. Academic Support:
MATANA’s services include various forms of academic support:

  • Academic Tutoring
  • Learning Strategy Sessions
  • Academic writing support (MATNA Academic Writing Center)
  • Support for Learning English

3. Information on exercising rights and support during the process:

MATNA offers personal guidance for maximizing rights in various institutions (such as the National Insurance Institute, Ministry of Health, local authorities, etc.) for students coping with physical, sensory, or mental disabilities, chronic illness, or ADHD.
