Educational assistance

Feeling lost with the material? Not sure how to deal with all the assignments? Having trouble sitting down to study? Matana Center Offers you various academic supports: learning strategy meetings, academic mentoring, a writing center for academic writing support, and English support.

Team Matana Center Offers learning strategy sessions that aim to help you, the students, acquire and practice more effective study methods. In the individual sessions, our expert counselors will personally tailor the study strategies to each individual according to their personal and academic needs. The sessions are designed to improve independent learning ability and increase academic success.

It is also recommended to join the many workshops we conduct on various topics of learning strategies.

To schedule strategy meetings, contact us through the Student Information Station in the Matana Center tab.

Academic mentoring is academic support provided by outstanding students (average of 85 or higher) from the faculty in which the student requesting the mentoring is studying. The mentor meets with the student during the semester for a two-hour weekly session, in order to help him study the various course materials as needed and to help him acquire effective learning skills.

Mentoring is personal and tailored to the specific needs of each student.

At Matna, we believe in in-depth process assistance that enables meaningful, ongoing learning. Therefore, the goal is to begin mentoring at the beginning of the semester and continue until the end of the exam period.
Therefore, you must apply for tutoring by mid-semester. We will have difficulty responding to requests received at a later date. It should be emphasized that we will not be able to respond to requests for individual tutoring that arrive close to the exam period.

Please note: Every student is entitled to apply for tutoring and we will make every effort to allow applicants to receive this service, but we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

Receiving mentoring involves a subsidized fee of 500 NIS for 30 hours of mentoring (approximately 16.5 NIS per hour of mentoring).

Interested in mentoring? Contact us through the Student Information Station in the Matana Center tab.

During the semester, we may also offer group tutoring in specific courses. We invite you to stay in touch and follow our announcements.

Writing is one of the key skills required during academic studies, but for many students it constitutes a particularly difficult barrier and challenge.

To this end, we have established a writing center at the Matna, which aims to assist you with everything related to academic writing assignments.

The service is provided in person on campus or in meetings via ZOOM and includes teaching strategies for effective writing while adhering to the rules of academic writing, assistance in dealing with reading articles, and introduction to AI tools for writing papers.

The authorities of the judiciary in Israel are divided between the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court serves as an appellate instance for judgments of the District Courts in Israel, and as a High Court of Justice. When sitting as a High Court of Justice, it hears appeals against the decisions of the District Courts, the Magistrates Courts and the Religious Courts. There are three types of appeals: the High Court of Justice, District Courts and Magistrate Courts.

The powers of the judiciary are influenced by the changes in the powers of the investigative authorities and the prosecuting authorities, in order to allow scrutiny and expansion on the history of the judiciary and its influence in the State of Israel.
