About the Course 

Rehabilitation coordination is a significant aspect of mental health rehabilitation and recovery processes, encompassing numerous and diverse activities related to the individual, the community, and other factors. The rehabilitation coordinator requires extensive knowledge and diverse skills to assist individuals in navigating the rehabilitation process in a unique and optimal way for them.

The course will cover various aspects of the role, required skills, and rehabilitation tools for the coordinator's work. Additionally, it will discuss the professional identity of the rehabilitation coordinator, with cultural adaptation to the characteristics of discourse and work in the Haredi society.

This course is designed for professionals involved in rehabilitation coordination who wish to expand their knowledge, skills, and tools in this role. It will provide tools for utilizing knowledge and skills as a basis for promoting the accompaniment, integration, and recovery processes of individuals receiving services in various rehabilitation frameworks.

• In accordance with Ministry of Health procedures, this course is a prerequisite for working in community mental health rehabilitation. Rehabilitation coordinators must complete the designated course for their role within 3 years of commencing their position.

Course Objectives

• The student will deepen their understanding of the functional, personal, and professional identity of a rehabilitation coordinator, and will learn practical tools and skills for assessment, mapping, diagnosis, and developing an individual's readiness for rehabilitation and their ability to define personal goals.
• The student will be exposed to innovative models in care coordination.
• The student will learn at least two intervention tools suitable for the recovery concept and rehabilitation work, and will practice working with at least one of them.
• The student will learn the principles of community integration and their implications for daily work practice.

This course is tailored for men, rehabilitation coordinators, from the Haredi community.

Course Structure

The course includes 10-15 sessions, each lasting 6 academic hours, with a guidance workshop held in two groups during the last two hours.

Participants

This course is designed for men from the Haredi community, professionals, supported employment coordinators, mentoring and support coordinators, and all professional staff involved in rehabilitation/treatment coordination in various rehabilitation frameworks.

Course Requirements

• Mandatory attendance in 90% of classes.
• Active participation in discussions, the training group, and classroom exercises.

• Participation in a 1.5-hour training workshop in two groups, including presenting and processing an event.
• Submission of a summary assignment for the course.

Admission Requirements

• Professional worker or supported employment coordinator, in one of the community rehabilitation frameworks.
