Training course in the field of vocational rehabilitation: theory, skills and tools for vocational guidance
About the course
Meaningful employment enables a meaningful life in the community. Employment allows a person to redefine their self beyond their identity as a challenger (Thomas & Fraser, 2009).
In the field of occupational rehabilitation in mental health today, there is an increasing emphasis on integrating those struggling with the free world of work. An integration based on the belief that it is possible and requires support work that includes various stages, from familiarizing the person with their needs, tendencies, desires, and the world around them, to training and practicing skills, to successful integration into the world of work.
Part of the role of the employment counselor in the various employment services, who believes in the candidate's ability to engage in meaningful employment over time, is to help the candidate define and identify the various characteristics that the candidate is required to have in his work and to improve his performance in them. The current course will deal with key content from the developing and dynamic world of work and will focus on the integration of candidates into the world of work. They will learn skills and tools that enable the development of a working person's identity and career development, will acquire skills and support in job search ability, and will assist the person in maintaining this job over time.
