Training course for service providers with knowledge from experience

About the course

The course is intended for men and women with life experience in recovery and rehabilitation processes who wish to use the experience they have gained in these processes as service providers in the mental health system.

 

The course will deal with the process of transitioning from a consumer to a service provider with knowledge and experience.

The course will provide basic training in daily work issues in mental health and will address topics such as: the Rehabilitation Law, the rehabilitation services basket, the vision of recovery and its translation into daily practice, psychopathology, skills, tools and intervention methods relevant to work in mental health settings.

The course will delve into the unique contribution of using knowledge from work experience in a rehabilitation and treatment service, and will provide initial tools for using this knowledge in daily work.

The course will expand the perspective of its participants, in understanding the family and its significance in the rehabilitation process and in the work fabric with other staff members.

The course will provide a foundation for the use of various tools such as approachable communication, the self-advocacy model, the personalized medication model, and more.

 

The course contains the main components of the training course for rehabilitation instructors and is therefore approved as a dedicated training course for the role of rehabilitation instructors/mentors/trustees.

 

Course objectives

  • The student will be familiar with the principles of the recovery vision, the basic concepts in rehabilitation work
  • The student will understand and recognize the unique added value of life experience in therapeutic and rehabilitation work.
  • The student will understand the process of transitioning from a person with knowledge and experience to a service provider with knowledge and experience.
  • The student will acquire tools for integration and work in the therapeutic-rehabilitative system.
  • The student will become familiar with services and services in the community.

Course structure

The course includes 22 sessions, each lasting 6 academic hours, with a group training workshop taking place in the last two hours of most sessions.

During the course, a study tour will take place in rehabilitation settings in the area. Arrival and return to the tour are the responsibility of the students.

Participants

The course is intended for 20 participants, with knowledge from experience, who are engaged or interested in engaging as service providers in mental health rehabilitation frameworks.

Course requirements

  • Attendance and participation in 90% of classes is mandatory. Absences of only three days will be permitted throughout the course.
  • Reading of professional literature in Hebrew that will be distributed during the course.
  • Participation in a training workshop and submission of a paper summarizing an event, which was presented at the workshop.
  • Participation in exercises and submission of work upon request as part of learning the intervention tools.
  • Participation in a study tour of community rehabilitation settings
  • Submitting a course summary paper.

Admission conditions

  • Has at least 12 years of education.
  • Works as a full-time employee in some workplace (not necessarily as a consumer providing a service)
  • Preference will be given to those with access to a computer, internet and email.
  • Currently serving, or intends to serve in the near future, as a full-time employee in the field of mental health.
  • Ability to meet course assignments: participating in face-to-face classes, participating in a training workshop, writing assignments, reading study materials, and going on a study tour in rehabilitation settings independently.
  • Fully understanding and speaking the Hebrew language.
  • Filling out an initial form and sending it one month before the start of the course
  • The learner must express a willingness to engage in experiential, personal inquiry learning.

About a month before the start of the course, candidates will undergo a preliminary personal or group interview by the course staff.

 

** The personal details form, including a resume, must be sent by email to the Rehabilitation School as soon as possible. A candidate who does not send this form will not be invited to the preliminary interview and his candidacy will be disqualified.

The Tax Authority systems include the following main systems: Income Tax, Property Tax, VAT, Customs and Collection.

The emphasis on accessibility in the Tax Authority systems is reflected both in the external design and in the internal design.

The internal design focuses on building and managing accessible digital forms for handling VAT and Customs, as well as for handling business in Income Tax, VAT and Customs.

The authorities of the judiciary in Israel are divided between the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court serves as an appellate instance for judgments of the District Courts in Israel, and as a High Court of Justice. When sitting as a High Court of Justice, it hears appeals against the decisions of the District Courts, the Magistrates Courts and the Religious Courts. There are three types of appeals: the High Court of Justice, District Courts and Magistrate Courts.

The powers of the judiciary are influenced by the changes in the powers of the investigative authorities and the prosecuting authorities, in order to allow scrutiny and expansion on the history of the judiciary and its influence in the State of Israel.
