Training for Facilitators of the Keshet Course

About the Course

Keshet is a structured academic course specially adapted for families. Its uniqueness lies in its focused approach to the quality of life of the family member participating in the Keshet course, who is separate and has unique needs of their own.

In recent years, over 700 parents and family members coping with a disability (mental, physical, developmental) within their families have reported significant improvements in family communication and interactions with various community services after participating in the course. We consider it our mission and duty to impart this perspective and intervention to therapists and rehabilitation professionals working with families.

Course Objective

Training professionals and family members who work with families to deliver and integrate the Qeshet course within families.

Course Structure:

15 weekly meetings, each lasting 6 academic hours, with the last two hours dedicated to a training workshop.

Participants:

  • 20 professionals from various disciplines: social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, art therapists, psychotherapists, etc., who work in community rehabilitation settings. The course is also intended for family members of Q.S. course graduates.

Course Requirements:

  • Mandatory attendance in 90% of classes and in the training group
  • Active participation in discussions, the training group, and classroom exercises.
  • During the second part of the course, participants are required to practice delivering the intervention in their workplaces.
  • Submission of exercises during the course and submission of reports during the intervention delivery.

Admission Requirements

  • A professional from various disciplines: social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, art therapists, psychotherapists, etc., or a family member who is a graduate of the KASHAT course.
  • Worker in a community rehabilitation framework for at least one year.
